Hafa adai! With the internet going crazy about the new Power Ranger Shared Universe, Island Boy Manuel wanted to take a minute and breakdown his favorite costumes from the show. 

#5 Power Rangers Mystic Force

Even if the capes are lame look at that back row!

While you won't find this series on many top 10 lists the costumes certainly earned their spot in mine. I love the helmets and the use of the black M to break up the color. I am also a sucker for the boots this season. I admit the capes are a bit lame, but the blue and green helmets alone are cool enough to cover a multitude of sins. If the regular ranger costumes aren't enough to get you excited, wait till you see the kick ass costumes of Udonna, Daggeron and Wolf Warrior.

 

#4 Power Rangers Super Dino Charge

DAMN!!!

I loved the Dino Charge costumes by themselves, but the addition of the armor pieces put them over the top. Normally I like the visor to take up less of the helmet space but this full face visor paired with the overall sleek and minimal design of the helmets. Even if the weapons look like the knock-off nerf guns your nana buys at a flea market, the armor pieces, the shear badassery of the helmets and a pethora of ranger colors definately are worthy of the number four spot.

Too bad the show sucked cuz these costumes rocked

#3 Power Rangers Super Mega Force

Another crappy season that yields some of the best costumes the series has seen yet. The pirate motif clashes with the whole accessing all ranger powers mess that Super Mega Force was going for. But the suits are strikingly visual and stand apart from the dinosaurs, cars and animals that have made up the bulk of the series thus far. The black under suits really make the bright coats pop and as I said before I'm a sucker for boots and these ones doth rocketh! 

#2 Power Rangers Ninja Storm

The most Ninja that hath ever Ninja'd! This is everything you could ever ask for in a bright primary spandex Ninja Costume. Not the most tactical for moving in the shadows but it is the most fabulous! The helmets are pretty minimal and their lack of busyness make them elegant and totally bad ass.

#1 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The MOVIE

Could it be anything else? The original costumes are the best we've seen and these take those perfect spandex designs and brings them to a whole other level! A bit shiny and hockey paddish they seem like a foam rubber suit of morphinomenal armor. The team has never looked better.
